This Jacono Freeform E Stand-Up has a distinctly sculptural character, built around a tall, slender bowl that gradually widens towards the top. Measuring 145 mm in length and 63 mm in height, with a 47 mm chamber depth, it offers substantial yet well-balanced proportions, complemented by the long straight shank and gently curved stem.
The smooth natural finish showcases particularly expressive briar grain. Long flame-like streaks rise vertically along the bowl from the base towards the top, combining shades of honey, hazelnut and deeper brown. Across the shank, the grain becomes more elongated, creating attractive visual continuity throughout the pipe.
Its most distinctive feature is undoubtedly the top of the bowl. The upper profile is deliberately irregular and retains broad areas of the natural briar surface around the tobacco chamber. This gives the rim an organic, undulating appearance, almost as though the shape had been guided directly by the original briar block, providing a striking contrast with the perfectly smooth sides.
The flat base allows the pipe to stand upright on its own, further emphasizing the strong vertical character of the design. A polished black stem with a gentle curve provides a restrained contrast with the warm tones of the briar. A highly individual Jacono Freeform in which shape, grain and preserved natural surfaces combine to create a pipe with unmistakable handcrafted character.
