Jacono - knight n. 39
This Jacono Brandy Stand-Up is defined by full, compact proportions, with a generously rounded bowl that gradually tapers toward the rim in keeping with the distinctive Brandy shape. Its broad, flat bottom allows the pipe to stand securely on its own, adding a practical Stand-Up configuration to the design.
The bowl and much of the shank feature a deep, dense rustication with an intentionally irregular texture. Black coloration settles into the recesses while numerous warm brown and coppery tones of the briar remain visible across the raised areas, emphasizing the three-dimensional character of the finish. The rim is left smooth in a warm natural tone, forming a bright and elegant frame around the chamber.
One of the most distinctive features is the transition toward the stem: the rugged rustication is interrupted by a thin dark line and a broad smooth, light-toned briar band, followed once again by a glossy black section. This sequence of contrasting surfaces, colors and finishes creates a strong visual rhythm while balancing the substantial proportions of the bowl.
A short, nearly straight glossy black stem completes the composition without distracting from its most expressive elements. The combination of the substantial Brandy profile, strongly tactile rustication and unusual smooth briar transition gives this Jacono a bold and immediately recognizable personality.
