Jacono - Rook n. 65
This Jacono Billiard Stand-Up expresses a classic character through compact, solid proportions, with a 45 mm high bowl featuring almost vertical walls and a broad enough base to allow the pipe to stand upright on its own. The short, straight shank extends naturally from the bowl, preserving the balanced proportions traditionally associated with the Billiard shape.
The smooth finish places particular emphasis on the character of the briar. One side of the bowl displays long, tightly defined vertical streaks in honey and hazelnut tones against a darker brown background, while the opposite side reveals a more intricate, mottled grain pattern, offering two distinctly different expressions of the same piece of briar.
The shank continues the natural tones of the bowl and is accented by two thin black transverse lines, a simple yet highly effective graphic detail. These dark accents punctuate the smooth briar before the transition to the short, straight glossy black stem, creating a carefully balanced chromatic connection between wood and mouthpiece.
Measuring 135 mm in length and 45 mm in height, with a weight of 55 grams, this Jacono combines relatively compact dimensions with a substantial visual presence. A restrained Billiard in terms of shape, yet far from anonymous, distinguished above all by the changing grain patterns and the subtle black detailing along the shank.
