Jacono - Rook n. 69
This Jacono Freeform Stand-Up features a geometric, contemporary design dominated by a tall and substantial bowl with an almost squared profile softened by rounded edges. The straight shank flows naturally from the lower portion of the bowl, creating a long, clean silhouette, while the flat base allows the pipe to stand upright on its own.
The briar treatment is particularly distinctive for its contrast between smooth surfaces and preserved natural areas. One side of the bowl is carefully polished, displaying warm shades ranging from honey to reddish brown and subtly revealing the texture of the wood. The opposite side retains a broad section of the natural briar surface, dark, irregular and marked by knots and cavities, giving the pipe a strongly tactile and organic character.
The upper surface further contributes to the individuality of the design. The broad, smooth rim follows the unusual outline of the bowl and creates a pronounced frame around the tobacco chamber. Viewed from above, the distinctive cross-section becomes particularly evident, combining curved contours with more defined geometric lines.
A marbled green stem, animated by lighter and translucent swirls, provides an original chromatic contrast with the warm tones of the briar. Its long, slender profile visually balances the substantial bowl. The result is a highly individual Jacono Freeform in which geometry, natural briar texture and color are combined in a deliberately unconventional design.
