Fiamma di Re - Celtica n. 12
This Fiamma di Re Fiammata offers Andrea Pascucci's personal interpretation of the classic Bent Brandy, transformed into a compact, sinuous and strongly tactile pipe. The full, rounded bowl gently tapers towards the rim, while the shank rises decisively to meet the generously curved mouthpiece. The result is a compact yet dynamic silhouette in which every element seems to follow the same upward movement.
The sandblast is one of the most striking features of this piece. Deep and highly expressive, it reveals the structure of the briar through a succession of rings, ripples and grain patterns that wrap around the bowl and continue along the shank. The warm brown stain, with lighter highlights across the raised areas, further enhances the three-dimensional quality of the surface.
Its classification within the Fiammata group emphasizes the quality of the briar and the importance of its natural grain. Rather than seeking a perfectly uniform texture, Pascucci allows the sandblast to interpret the structure of the wood itself, revealing a particularly rich and regular pattern that becomes an integral part of the shape.
The Bent Brandy retains the characteristic soft, full-bodied profile of the Brandy family, while the upward inclination of the shank and the pronounced curve of the black mouthpiece give the design greater energy. The broad dark transition between briar and mouthpiece creates a strong visual contrast while naturally accompanying the curve of the pipe.
It is also a Stand-Up, with the base shaped so that the pipe can stand independently on a flat surface. This practical feature is fully integrated into the design and provides a sense of stability to the generous volume of the bowl.
A warm and distinctive Fiamma di Re in which shape, sandblasted texture and natural grain work together as a single composition. This Fiammata Bent Brandy reflects Andrea Pascucci's approach particularly well: beginning with the material, understanding its individual character and transforming it into a pipe with a personality entirely its own.
