This Fiamma di Re, graded 1 Corona, is a distinctive Pencil with a remarkably slender and original character. The tall, flared bowl develops through an asymmetric and slightly inclined profile, while the exceptionally thin and elongated shank – the defining feature of this interpretation – gives the pipe an elegant, lightweight and almost graphic silhouette.

The smooth polished finish features an intense ruby-red/burgundy coloration, becoming particularly dark in the background, from which slender red flame grain emerges vertically across the walls of the bowl. The same coloration continues along the long, narrow shank, creating attractive visual continuity while emphasizing the remarkably slender construction of the pipe.

Its most striking feature is undoubtedly the upper rim. A central area surrounding the chamber is left smooth, while the outer perimeter features a rugged, irregular and highly tactile treatment. The contrast between the vivid red polished briar and the dark raised areas around the rim creates an almost sculptural effect, making the pipe immediately recognizable even when viewed from above.

The extremely slender shank ends with a bright silver band, providing an elegant transition to the black methacrylate mouthpiece. The latter is short, tapered and subtly shaped, with the distinctive Fiamma di Re emblem on its side. The contrast between the delicacy of the shank and the stronger presence of the bowl is one of the most appealing characteristics of this Pencil.

The pipe is also a Stand-Up, its base allowing it to rest independently when placed down. Graded 1 Corona, this Fiamma di Re is a particularly original example in which the Pencil concept is interpreted with considerable freedom through a sculptural bowl, an exceptionally slender shank, the textured rim and the elegant detail of its silver band.
