Volkan - n. 174
Linear, slender and particularly elegant, this Volkan Bottega Canadian offers a clean interpretation of one of the most appreciated classic pipe shapes. The tall, gently tapered bowl flows into a very long shank, the dominant feature of the design and the element that gives this Canadian its unmistakable horizontal development.
The smooth briar is finished in a warm natural tone, allowing the subtle colour variations and grain of the wood to remain visible. Its overall length of 166 mm emphasizes the elegant proportions of the shape, while the remarkably restrained 44-gram weight keeps the pipe relatively light despite its considerable length.
The extended shank continues almost seamlessly into the acrylic mouthpiece, distinguished by an attractive marbled pattern combining brown, amber and darker shades. Its slender, nearly straight profile preserves the clean silhouette of the Canadian while creating a pleasing visual connection with the warm colour of the briar.
The Stand-Up configuration also allows the pipe to rest independently on a flat surface. A distinctive handcrafted Italian Volkan pipe in which Alberto Francesco Paronelli interprets the classic Canadian architecture through elongated proportions, restrained weight and a particularly harmonious combination of colours.
