Compact and strongly tactile in character, this Volkan Billiard stands out for its deeply rusticated briar, worked into an irregular pattern of raised and recessed areas. The warm honey-brown colouring enhances the texture of the wood, while the bowl proportions, with a 19 mm internal diameter and 43 mm external diameter, retain the recognizable architecture of the classic Billiard shape.
The construction incorporates the Reverse Calabash System: an expansion chamber inside the shank allows the smoke to cool and release part of its moisture before reaching the mouthpiece. This solution is designed to encourage a cooler and drier smoking experience while helping to reduce condensation.
The colour combination around the stem is equally distinctive. A translucent red accent band creates a bold transition between the rusticated briar and the light marbled mouthpiece, featuring subtle grey-green shades. The contrast between tactile wood, warm colours and lighter tones gives this handcrafted Italian Volkan pipe an original and immediately recognizable identity.
