Highly tactile and distinctly unconventional, this Volkan Billiard immediately stands out for its deeply rusticated briar, transforming the entire bowl and shank into a dense pattern of raised and recessed areas. The brown finish becomes darker within the deeper texture and warmer across the raised sections, emphasizing the three-dimensional character of the workmanship.
Weighing 61 grams, this Billiard has a substantial and compact construction. Its distinctive exterior is combined with the Reverse Calabash System: an expansion chamber inside the shank allows the smoke to cool and release part of its moisture before reaching the mouthpiece, encouraging a cooler and drier smoking experience while helping to reduce condensation.
A light-coloured transition and vivid red marbled mouthpiece, crossed by fine white swirls, provide a striking contrast with the dark rusticated briar. The smooth, luminous surface of the mouthpiece plays against the rugged texture of the wood, completing a highly distinctive handcrafted Italian Volkan pipe.
