Its elongated bowl rises gracefully from a sweeping curve that continues through the shank towards the long mouthpiece. The overall shape has an organic, almost sculptural quality, as though the natural movement of the briar itself had inspired this distinctive interpretation of the Freeform style.
The outstanding feature is the first-grade Romeo briar, selected for its remarkable flame grain. Fine, closely spaced grain lines radiate across the bowl and continue along the body of the pipe, following its curves with exceptional visual harmony. The smooth finish, in a warm amber-brown tone, enhances the natural beauty of the wood while highlighting the transitions between the rounded bowl and the more defined lines of the shank.
The bowl features an angled opening that follows the upward movement of the design, while the shank has a substantial, carefully shaped profile. Completing the pipe is a NYH mouthpiece in black-and-blue Cumberland, elegantly tapered and gently curved. Its subtle colour variations introduce a refined finishing detail without distracting from the striking natural grain of the briar.
