This Regina Scarlatta interprets the Bent Dublin shape with a slender yet assertive profile, dominated by a tall bowl that gradually flares towards the upper rim. The distinctly angled chamber top enhances the dynamic character of the shape and gives the pipe a particularly individual appearance, while the long mouthpiece elegantly balances the strong vertical presence of the bowl.
The briar is enhanced by a deep and well-defined sandblasted finish, revealing the natural grain through pronounced ridges and grooves that are particularly evident across the bowl. The very dark stain is enriched by intense burgundy-red and mahogany tones, with brighter highlights appearing on the raised areas and creating a surface rich in depth and attractive chromatic contrasts.
The sandblasted finish continues along the shank, which gradually tapers before meeting the long black ebonite mouthpiece. Its curvature is restrained and gently extended, creating a continuous and harmonious line throughout the entire profile of the pipe while visually balancing the imposing vertical development of the bowl.
At 41 grams, this Regina Scarlatta has a substantial presence without being excessively heavy. Its Stand-Up configuration also allows the pipe to rest independently on its base.
