A full, flowing profile defines this Ser Jacopo L2 Bent Dublin, a pre-smoked handcrafted Italian pipe with considerable personality. The generously proportioned bowl features a softly flared silhouette flowing towards the gently raised shank, while the curved mouthpiece naturally follows the overall movement of the design.

The smooth briar displays a warm honey-brown colour and particularly attractive grain, with long flame patterns rising along the walls of the bowl and emphasizing its generous volume. A metal band set into the shank provides an elegant contrast with the briar, while the curved black mouthpiece completes the composition with a restrained and harmonious line.

The stampings clearly identify the pipe as a Ser Jacopo: the shank bears the celebrated “Per Aspera Ad Astra” motto, the “Fatta a mano” marking and the L2 grade. Ser Jacopo was established in Pesaro in the early 1980s by Giancarlo Guidi, an important figure in what became known as the Pesaro school of Italian pipe making. The workshop became particularly renowned for expressive shapes, hand craftsmanship and a strong emphasis on showcasing the natural character of briar.

The L2 marking also identifies the grade assigned to this particular example within Ser Jacopo production. Together with the attractive flame grain, Bent Dublin shape and generous proportions, it adds to the collecting appeal of the pipe. A distinctive pre-owned and already smoked Ser Jacopo L2 retaining the character of handcrafted pipe making from Pesaro. The photographs show the actual condition of this specific pipe and form an integral part of its description.
