This Fiamma di Re, graded 2 Corone, offers a personal interpretation of the classic Dublin shape. The bowl develops according to the characteristic flared profile, broader at the base and gradually tapering towards the rim, while the long, almost straight shank gives the pipe a slender and elegant appearance.

The smooth briar displays particularly expressive grain, enhanced by a rich brown and amber finish with deep contrasting shades. Long, clearly defined vertical flame grain rises along the sides of the bowl, naturally following the architecture of the Dublin towards the chamber. Along the shank, the grain changes direction and stretches lengthwise, creating a pleasing visual continuity throughout the pipe. The 2 Corone classification identifies the grade assigned by Fiamma di Re to this particular piece.

The most distinctive detail is undoubtedly the partially rusticated upper rim. Pascucci deliberately preserves an irregular and strongly tactile crown around the chamber, with dark sculptural ridges contrasting beautifully against the perfectly smooth and polished sides of the bowl. Viewed from above, this treatment creates an organic frame around the chamber, revealing warmer briar tones towards its centre and giving the pipe a slightly different appearance from every angle.

With a weight of only 36 grams, the pipe remains pleasantly light despite the visual presence of its bowl. It is also a Stand-Up design: the base is shaped to allow the pipe to stand independently on a flat surface, a practical feature naturally integrated into the geometry of the Dublin.

The long, slender and almost straight black mouthpiece completes the composition with understated elegance. At the transition from shank to mouthpiece, a slim silver band provides a subtle bright accent, elegantly separating the glossy black mouthpiece from the warm tones of the briar.

A distinctive Fiamma di Re 2 Corone Dublin Stand-Up in which Andrea Pascucci combines a traditional shape with unmistakably handcrafted details. Its beautiful vertical flame grain, deliberately irregular rusticated rim and slender construction turn this Dublin into a pipe with a strong individual identity: elegant, refined and far from conventional.
